Get Rid of a Sore Shoulder

1. What you need to do first is stretch your arms and chest. For the right shoulder, hold out your right hand at the hight of your waist. Then, reach for your right arm behind the elbow with your left hand.

Pull it towards the left side, through your chest. Hold like that for no more than a minute and then turn to the other side.

Repeat this process 3-5 times. The goal here is to do light exercise without feeling any pain or discomfort.

2. Second, you can sit upright and start lowering your chin until you feel some tension in the back of your neck.

Beware of straining, and turn your head to the left if you want to feel some pressure on the right shoulder. Hold for a minute and turn to the other side. Repeat 3-5 times.

3. Third, you can expand your chest. You will need a rope, strap, exercise band or a tie if you want to try this one out.

Hold the band behind your chest with both of your hands. Draw back your shoulders and lift your chin gently towards the ceiling. Stand in this position and breathe deeply for 10 seconds, and repeat it 3-5 times.

4. Also, you can try a 90-90 stretch of the shoulders. Begin this exercise by standing on a doorway, and raise your arms so that the elbows and forearms are to a 90 degree angle.

Place the hands on the sides of the door frame. Stand with one foot forwards and lean forward as you brace yourself with the frame of the door. Hold that position for half a minute.

5. If you want to relieve yourself from the pain, mix some turmeric with olive or coconut oil and apply it on the affected area. You will benefit from the anti inflammatory properties of the turmeric greatly.

6. The garlic can act in the same way turmeric does, so all you need to do is simply apply it directly on your shoulder.

7. A good posture will help you from getting worse too. Check your posture at all time, it doesnt matter if youre standing or sitting, make sure your head is in line with your shoulders. Remember, a small change can go a long way.

8. Finally, try a supportive sleep position. Lay on yur good side with one pillow under your neck and one in front of your body. Place your arm on the pillow in front of you and get the rest you need.
